Winter Fizz

The Winter Fizz is a fantastic cocktail pairing two flavours that shout out winter and warm feelings. The combination of Cognac and pear Liqueur with sour apple makes this cocktail an excellent winter warmer. It is served almost at room temperature with only a slight chill from the cold Champagne.

When I created the cocktail in October 2023, I aimed for an easy recipe without compromising the excellent taste.

I hope you will try this recipe and enjoy it as much as my guests at the bar and myself.


WINTER FIZZ

  • 30ml / 1oz Xanté Cognac & Pear Liqueur

  • 10ml / .35oz Giffard Sour Apple Liqueur

  • 70ml / 2.4oz Louis Roederer Collection 243 Champagne

METHOD:

  1. Add the liqueurs to a Champagne flute.

  2. Top up with the Champagne.

  3. Garnish with poached pear. You can freeze the pears, use them as ice, and keep the cocktail chilled longer.
