Regal Tiki Cocktail. Named after one of my favourite Whiskeys, Chivas Regal. Who told you Whiskey or Whisky couldn’t be used to create a delicious tiki cocktail? Scrap that and start enjoying a full blast dram in your Tiki Cocktails. I used Chivas Regal, but you can use any brand. Every brand will add a different character to your Tiki Cocktail.
Let’s have a Whiskey Tiki
Because the Chivas Regal is not very smoky, I used the Lapsang Smoked Tea. It will add the perfect smoke on the nose but won’t change the cocktail taste. The tea is also perfect for you, so take it as healthy extra to this beautiful tasting tiki cocktail. Cherry Brandy, on the other hand, is ideal for paring with Whiskey. The cherries have this rich sweetness but also a sour note which is lovely for the whiskey.
With Passion Fruit Liqueur and Banana Liqueur, I am bringing the tropical vibe to the mix. Both liqueurs have their signature taste and aromas. The Pasion Fruit is sweet and tart with a light exotic note. The Banana Liqueur, on the other hand, is rich, aromatic and delicious shouting sunshine and beautiful seasides. So far, so good, but there is more room for lush, sweet and taste of the Caribbean. Here my Homemade Tropical Syrup comes in place. I will write the recipe and how to make it soon.
Finally, feel free to use any tropical juice, but Mango and Pineapple are a combination made in heaven. Probably a touch of Litchi Juice will add more to the mix to give it a try. Lastly, let me mention you can pre-batch the Regal Tiki Cocktail easily and have it ready for any garden party. Make sure you keep it in the fridge and cold all the time.
I love Whiskey cocktails, and I will add more to my cocktail page.
