Green Wave is a fresh cocktail with tropical notes for a lovely summer day. We all love the summer days at home, on holiday or long weekends. One of my favourite places is Palm De Mallorca in Spain. I spend many enjoyable days on the lovely beaches around Spain, and I can say it is probably my beloved country. A great town to visit Spain is world famous Barcelona. This town offers everything you need, from wonderful street life, beautiful beach to amazing attractions and brilliant nightlife.
The Green Wave is the signature cocktail I created to remind me of the beautiful times in Spain. To help me build this cocktail, I receive a bottle of the fantastic 801 Gin St. and used as my base for this beautiful gin cocktail.
According to the story, Gin Street for centuries has traditional pubs to famous writers. The door with the number 801 hides the secret of the alchemist, who placed the original dry gin on the map. The fresh taste and sweet notes of this gin are perfect for my cocktail.
The Tropical Character
Now let’s talk about the tropical side of this cocktail. One of the tropical flavours I always have on my shelves is Banana Liqueur. You can find many good banana liqueurs. I can’t say which one is the best as all of them bring their character to the mix. For my cocktail, I use Bols Banana Liqueur made from the best banana extract, based on rum distillate. With a strong aroma of ripe bananas and soft vanilla and hints of almonds taste.
Blue Curacao or in my recipe Bols Blue adds bright blue colour, a dominant orange flavour and a superb and unique aftertaste to the cocktail. As well as being an excellent substitute for Triple Sec the Blue Curacao is one of the most selling liqueurs in the world.
Finally, we can’t forget the Pineapple Juice. A real flavour and taste of the hot tropical islands and one of the most loved juices for cocktails sharing an equal part with the oranges.
