Enzoni and White Enzoni

It's always a pleasure to delve into a classic or a new creation, especially when it's as delicious as the Enzoni.

This refreshing drink is a twist between the Classic Negroni and Gin Sour, substituting Vermouth with Green grapes and adding fresh lemon juice. The result is a light, refreshing cocktail perfect for any summer gathering. But why stop there? If you are not a fan of the bitterness from the Campari, you should try the White Enzoni when the delicious Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto replaces Campari.

First, let's start with the Classic Enzoni. This cocktail is a beautiful blend of Gin, Campari, and fresh fruit.

ENZONI

  • 5 Seedless Green Grapes

  • 30ml / 1oz Luxardo London Dry Gin

  • 30ml / 1oz Campari Bitter

  • 30ml / 10z Lemon Juice (I use 50/50 lemon and lime mix)

  • 20ml / 2/3oz Sugar Syrup

METHOD:

  1. To begin, muddle the grapes on the base of a cocktail shaker.

  2. Fill with ice and add in the rest of the ingredients.

  3. Give the mixture a good shake to combine and chill.

  4. Double-strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.

  5. Garnish with three green grapes on a cocktail pick.

Now, let's move on to the White Enzoni. This variation replaces Campari with ITALICUS, adding a lighter and more floral touch to the cocktail.

WHITE ENZONI

  • 5 Seedless Green Grapes

  • 30ml / 1oz Luxardo London Dry Gin

  • 30ml / 1oz Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto

  • 30ml / 10z Lemon Juice (I use 50/50 lemon and lime mix)

  • 20ml / 2/3oz Sugar Syrup

METHOD:

  1. To make the White Enzoni, follow the same steps as the Classic Enzoni, but use Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto instead of Campari. The result is a refreshing and elegant cocktail perfect for any occasion.

Cheers to both Enzoni Cocktails and the joys of exploring new flavours in mixology!
